    Student of Near Eastern Archaeology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Minors: Assyriology, Semitic Studies and Turkish Studies.

    February 1986

    Ph.D. under Prof. B. Hrouda.

    1997

    Habilitation under Prof. M. Roaf.

    2001

    Umhabilitierung from Munich to the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.

    2008–2010

    Collaboration with the Projekt „Kelainai / Apameia Kibotos and its Environs: Investigation of a Royal Palace in Phrygia“ (Institute for Classical Archaeology of the LMU).

    2010–12

    Preparation of an online database of the „Mediterranean Collection“ of the Archäologische Staatssammlung (Munich).

    Polychromy in the ancient Near East

    Research Project «Polychromy of the Mesopotamian Stone Statues», with Prof. Dr. Rupert Gebhard, director of the State Archaeological Collection in Munich.

    The Franco-German Figurines Project

    With Prof. Régine Hunziker-Rodewald (Protestant Theology, Strasbourg University), projet du Groupe de Recherches et d’Études Sémitiques Anciennes (GRESA), „Les terres cuites féminines de l’époque du Fer II (1000 – env. 600 av. J.C.) à l’est du Jourdain“.
