    Tzvi Abusch (PhD Harvard University 1972) is Cohen Professor of Assyriology and Ancient Near Eastern Religion at the Brandeis University. He has published numerous studies on Mesopotamian magic, mythology, religion and literature, and received a number of awards and fellowships.

    Daniel Schwemer (PhD, Habilitation Würzburg 2000, 2005) is Professor of Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität, Würzburg and Research Associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. His main research interests include the religion, magic, and literature of ancient Mesopotamia and Anatolia on which he has published extensively.

    Mikko Luukko (PhD Helsinki 2004) studied Assyriology, Semitics and Linguistics at the University of Helsinki and the Freie Universität Berlin. He has published monographs and articles on Neo-Assyrian letters and Assyrian grammar, including The Correspondence of Tiglath-pileser III (2012).

    Greta Van Buylaere (PhD Udine 2009) studied Assyriology in Leuven, Heidelberg, Helsinki and Udine. She is interested in Assyrian and Babylonian literacy, and their political and intellectual history, in particular in relation to the textual record of the first millennium BC.
